Application Instructions for UF Graduate Admissions and the Rehabilitation Counseling Program

Listed below are documents to be sent to

You may complete and submit your application online or mail a copy to the Admissions Office. The application and all related forms may be found at this URL: http://www.admissions.ufl.edu/grad/
Note: The University of Florida will not waive or defer the $30.00 USD application fee.

    2. Residency Classification Form
    3. Application Fee [$30 US dollars], made payable to the University of Florida
    4. Official Transcripts from all colleges and universities attended. Transcripts are considered official only when mailed directly from university to university
    5. Official report of Graduate Record Exam Score (GRE). This report is considered official only when sent directly from the testing service to the University of Florida
    6. Note: ALL materials must be reviewed before a departmental admission decision can be made--therefore materials submitted to the UF Admissions Office should be sent well in advance of the deadlines listed below.

    1. Transcripts from all colleges and universities you have attended. While we prefer originals, these can be clear, unaltered copies.
    2. GRE Scores. We prefer an original record but will accept a clear, unaltered copy.
    3. Student Information Form. This is the department application. A copy is included in the graduate packet mailed to you and it is also available online here. You may download the PDF version, complete it online then print it out or print it out then complete it. Your signature must appear on this form.
    4. Three Letters of Reference. Three letters are required. They should be dated, addressed to the Graduate Coordinator, and on official or letterhead stationery from individuals who can attest to your academic ability. The letters should address your potential for graduate work and suitability for a career in rehabilitation counseling.

GRE INFORMATION

Schedule to take the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) at least six weeks before the deadline. The testing service requires at least six weeks to mail the scores to the requested locations. Check out www.gre.org for scheduling information, practice tests, and other details about the GRE.

Even though the GRE testing sites provide you with an immediate report of your score, the official score must still be sent from the testing service to the University of Florida.

Note: Only the GRE Verbal and Quantitative sub-scores are counted to determine the total GRE score.
