Degree Programs in Rehabilitation Counseling

Undergraduate Rehabilitative Services Program,
Bachelor of Health Science

Students in the bachelor's program learn a wide range of human services skills, especially as they relate to individuals with disabilities, their lives and their work. Those who graduate from the Rehabilitative Services program may elect to pursue entry-level careers in rehabilitative service agencies while others seek advanced degrees. Many students enter the Rehabilitation Counseling program (see below).

Graduate Rehabilitation Counseling Program,
Master of Health Science

Students in the master's program learn how to work intensively with individuals with disabilities. There are many employment options for master's level Rehabilitation Counselors, including Certified Rehabilitation Counselors, Licensed Mental Health Counselors, Certified Vocational Evaluators, Certified Addictions Professionals, Case Managers, and many others.

Doctor of Philosophy, Rehabilitation Science

The Ph.D. program trains students to teach in rehabilitation education programs and to perform much-needed research in the field of rehabiltiation counseling.
